Included in the budget for a new compost facility in West Wendover was a much needed upgrade to the existing PLC infrastructure and telemetry system. New PLCs were installed throughout the plant adding additional control and monitoring. A fiber optic network allowed for fast and reliable communications and data acquisition.
The Human Machine Interface consisted of a server station with three clients around the plant, allowing operators to monitor and control from multiple locations. New radios added control of the fresh water wells located 20 miles to the west of the city.
