Mountain Regional Water SSD SCADA System Upgrade

Mountain Regional Water was a newly formed water district combining the resources of many smaller, locally operated water systems. We retrofitted existing sites with new SCADAPacks, color touch screens, motion detector security, and addition of full monitoring and control.

Mountain Regional selected Intellution’s iFix for their HMI, with MDS radios for communication. Solar power was used for tanks at remote sites, with the ability to operate without sunlight for seven days. A dialer was installed, and internet connectivity was added for remote montiroing. There are over 55 remote sites controlled for this system including a treatment facility and a pump station operating at 500 PSI and 9000 GPM.

West Wendover WRF SCADA Upgrade & Maintenance

Included in the budget for a new compost facility in West Wendover was a much needed upgrade to the existing PLC infrastructure and telemetry system. New PLCs were installed throughout the plant adding additional control and monitoring. A fiber optic network allowed for fast and reliable communications and data acquisition.

The Human Machine Interface consisted of a server station with three clients around the plant, allowing operators to monitor and control from multiple locations. New radios added control of the fresh water wells located 20 miles to the west of the city.
